Yes, we have a church pew in our barn aisle. Thanks to our clients who contributed to buy us a Christmas present. I had wanted a bench for the barn that was substantial and could be taken to shows for our tack room set up. Then I got the idea that a small church pew would be cool. Different for sure. But there’s another side to the story. You see, the name Clairvaux comes from a monastery in France. I had written a paper on St. Bernard in college (go ‘Cuse!), and he was the founder of said monastery. It was then that I decided I would name my (eventual) stable Clairvaux. The literal translation is “clear worth” or “clear value,” which I think describes our services and our facility perfectly. So it’s a little quirky for a hunter jumper stable, but we’re a little different, too. Here are some photos:
