Last Sunday, six Clairvaux riders traveled to Prince Georges Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland for the Showplace Spring Festival. For many riders it’s the first big outdoor show of the season, so the entries were big. Emma Hess earned a fifth place in the Small/Medium Children’s Pony Hunter over fences with Blackberry Storm. She also placed fourth in the Limit Pony Hunter over fences. Sydney Hess placed sixth, seventh and eighth in the Large Children’s Pony Hunters with Close Kin. She also earned ribbons in the Limit Pony Hunter. Madison Busey placed fifth, six and eighth in the Large Children’s Pony Hunter over fences with Figaro and placed second in the Limit Pony Hunter Under Saddle. These young ladies had over 20 competitors in their classes – it was very stiff competition and they did an outstanding job! Congratulations.

In the horse classes, Kate Murphy and Kaela Harvey rode in the Younger Children’s Hunters on Charisma and Cosmopolitan, respectively. Kate placed fourth and fifth in two of the jumping classes, and Kaela placed eighth in one of them. Kate also placed in the Gittings Equitation class. Ali Anderson placed seventh in the Older Children’s Hunter with Zenith. Good job!
