Brrrr!!! What a cold day it was, but four Clairvaux Riders weathered the chilly temperatures and had a successful day at the Foxchase VHSA show on Saturday. Ali Anderson and Zenith won two under saddle classes, and placed second in the VHSA Children’s Medal. Alyssa Rhee and Mandalay Bay won a class and were Reserve Champion in the Benefit Hunter. Morgan Busey and Rust Never Sleeps were Champion in the Benefit Hunter and were Reserve Champion in the Working Hunter. Eliza Caprio competed over 3′ for the first time with her Calamity Jane and were Champion in the the Working Hunter, winning one of the jumping classes! What a great day! The arena was actually pretty comfortable, since it’s a wooden building and the horses live under the same roof, warming it up a bit. Everyone handled the cold weather well and we were home by noon! Great job, Ladies!
