Upperville was a GREAT show for Clairvaux riders. Emma Hess and Blackberry Storm were Champion in the Local Medium Pony Hunter division, while Madison Busey and Figaro were Reserve Champion in the Local Large Pony Hunter. Kate Murphy and Charisma and Ali Anderson and Zenith placed well in the Local Hunter Owner/Rider. Shannon deWit placed over fences in the that division, her first time doing 3′ at a rated show (and what a show to do it at!). Kaela Harvey placed 5th and 7th over fences in the Younger Children’s Hunters. Alyssa Rhee and Elize Caprio’s Calamity Jane placed 5th in the Youngers, as well. Morgan Busey and Rust Never Sleeps placed 6th over fences (and jogged in the second class) in the Older Children’s Hunters. Glendon Mohan and Ayrton just missed the jog in the Older Large Junior Hunters (their first time in ring 1!). Elizabeth Parent and Rock Star placed 6th in the Small Pony Hunters (and finished 9th in the Classic). Elizabeth also placed 2nd in both the USEF and VHSA Pony Medal classes. Terri rode Kim Campbell’s Bourbon Street in the Thoroughbred Hunter Development and placed 8th.

Finally, Terri and Don’s daughter, Veronica, rode in her first leadline class! Aboard Elizabeth Parent’s Rock Star, she had a fun time, laughing and waving to the crowd. We have some great pictures, too!

Veronica has no interest in holding the reins yet.
